Electronic Sheep

Designers Brenda Aherne and Helen Delany established the knitwear label Electronic Sheep in 1999. They graduated respectively in Fashion and Graphic Design from Dublin’s National College of Art and Design with stints at Central Saint Martins, De Montfort University and The School of Visual Arts in New York.

They have lived and worked as designers in London, New York, Munich, Rome and Dublin. Working as fashion and graphic designers as well as on continuous art and design projects they have gained diverse experience and knowledge in the industry. They have designed for leading companies including Glamour Magazine, New York; Swarovski, ST Fashion for Sunday Telegraph, Time Warner, The Sunday Times and V&A Museum, London.

As a result of their combined disciplines they produce detailed graphic knitwear and are re- nowned for their strong visuals and unexpected colour. Their knitted ‘tapestry-esque’ pieces have a cult following on the London and international Fashion scene.

Their work has been published by Vogue, Grazia, i-D, Elle, The Observer and The Times, amongst others. The designers continue to collaborate on music, art and fashion projects. This season Electronic Sheep are working with London embroidery artist Scott Ramsay Kyle to create special edition accessories.
